Hardship days are over

imf is finally over! well its back to normal, no more traffic jam in city area, no more heavy security coverage and my workload has lighten with the return of my colleagues. i have been busy mailing enquires to various hotels with regards to my chinese ceremony wedding banquet to be held next year. it take at least a year to do the booking. well most of the hotels have replied and gosh, the cheapest cost at least $800+, well wat to do? my girlfriend say its a once-in-a-lifetime event, muz make it grand. of course i agree with her, but we gonna watch our wallet too rite? i rather spend it on our honeymood to go tour around europe though. i also finally understand why people say marriage is the biggest event of their life, seriously it is not easy job to plan about for your special day. of course with money, it will do wonder and make your job easy. but i strongly believe that by planning it yourselves, it make both u and your partner even more looking forward to that special day.
talking about my liverpool, it has been a good week for them begining with a 2-0 win over gary's newcastle disunited, what a superb half court goal by alonso. then last saturday, a well-derserved 3-0 win over spurs with a rocket finish by riise. let's just hope the reds will continue the good form in champion league and epl.
im planning for a sec sch class gathering for this end of the year, so far response has been good, hopefully for those who have yet to confirm with me, will be able to join us. im really look forward to the reunion and have fun during the count-down party.

Sour and Sweet Sunday

just came back from watching epl soccer at coconut groove. today got 2 big matches, chelsea vs my liverpool and man u vs arsenal. well the first match between chelsea and liverpool was rather dull though i have to admit that im disappointed that the kops didn't take their chances when it came along. one superb strike was all it take to seperate the two sides. end of the day, i could only say the better team won. hmm but im surprise mourinho did shake hands with benitez at the end of the match, so is it the end of their fued? hmm the second match is more interesting, at least i can say it taste sweet after i had sucked a lemon earlier. both the devils and gunners have their chances, the gunners deserve to lead but gilberto missed the penalty. lehmamn had an inspired game, saving the gunners on several occasions, even to the extent of using his face to make a save. i must say i feel great when adebayor scored at the last moment all thanks to ronaldo's gift. he deserve it, for being a 'lao lan kia'. i just hope that my liverpool will get themselves out of the crisis soon, at least i do see some positives out from the game. haiz tomorrow gonna burn my off day to do extra duty, very sianz man. wat to do when im a slave to the government. ok got to stop here now and get some rest. cheers to a sour and sweet week.

Peak Period between 11th Sep - 21st Sep

11th sep to 21st sep is a very busy period for alot of people in different industries due to the imf/world bank conference. well i'm not left out too, just return home from a tiring and busy night shift. well due to manpower constraint, i gonna work on my own most of the time, this is the time where one need to embrace themselves and clear the hurdle. i just hope that this imf conference will finish asap and i can relax abit.

last saturday, i went to watch soccer with my buddies at our usual haunt, coconut groove. its a simple and comfy cafe, with basic f&b at reasonable pricing. i like the place cos not much people go there, feel more at home. anyway we watched 2 epl matches, everton vs my beloved liverpool and arsenal vs boro. well my liverpool crashed to a 3-0 loss to the toffees, i was disappointed but well, no team always win right? as usual, gary mocked at me, but well im fine with it. been a die-hard liverpool fan since 10, i live on with it and hope that the team will march on from there. as the slogan of the reds say, "you will never walk alone''. im also kinda disappointed with arseanl who is still winless so far. they are the second team i admire after liverpool cos of their playing style and their star man, thierry henry. i can't understand why they are not performing as expected, is it because of the new stadium or the loss of ashley cole? well with the addition of william gallas, i hope things will improve for them. hopefully starting this weekend with the clash against the red devils.

im lucky that im not working on this sunday cos i can get to watch 2 mouth-watering clash between the kops and blues and also the gunners vs the red devils. i really hope my kops will get a positive result out of it. hmm im starting to feel tired and sleepy liao after a long night, gonna stop my typing and get a good rest.

An unexpected reunion with my old friends

9/9/06 - i was doing my road block and I was the one who stop the vehicles. guess what? i saw my primary school friend, yuanfeng. haha i guess it has been a few years since i last saw him. anyway i stopped his friend's vehicle and asked them to stop one side. i wanted to go over to him and say hi. haiz too bad i was engaged and can't go over to him. Yuanfeng was my good primary school friend and our friendship dated back when we were in primary 1. He is my good volleyball pal too. anyway i just happened to know that yuanfeng is dating my another primary school friend, audrey. haha she was also inside the vehicle but i never spotted her. hmm feel happy for them too, the first couple in our primary school class. i wish them 2 all the best and maybe we should have a meet-up soon...

A fun-filled Saturday

i went to wild wild wet with my buddies courtesy to my free tickets. it has been quite sometime since i went downtown east. its undergoing a major renovation now, a new 4 storey high complex is on its way, hmm ntuc really know how to make money. anyway we are supposed to meet at 11am but in the end as expected, gary and huairen overslept, so we only reached there at about 12plus.

it was a bright sunny day, a perfect day for us to have fun in the water. we got changed quickly and went to play ular-lar, a 5-6 persons boat ride. it was fun and we managed to pose for some shots by the camera installed there. of course while they were having fun with the rides, as usual being guys, we will also look out for some pretty 'chai'. haha all of us spotted a 'chai' with her bf, she was wearing a brown color bikini and of course when a group of 5 guys looked and stared at her, the bf muz have feel 'too lan'. anyway there was not much 'chai' on that day and instead we saw 2 jokers from other planet.

we were queueing up to play slide-up, the most scary and exciting ride at wild wild wet. it require 2 persons to pair up and sit on the raft, then get ready to scream your heart out as the staff pushed the rift down to the slide. its a 5 sec fear, feel like you are going to jump down to commit suicide. i paired up with terence for the ride and before our ride, we saw 2 jokers, chinese boys aged btw 17-20s below watching others playing the ride. the jokers then asked one small boy who had played the ride, "hey boy, is it scary?" the small boy was apparently shocked by the question and just said no to them, answering in a brave manner. the jokers were behind us and after our turn, it was supposed to be their turn. after we got down, we waited to see their reaction. but it took a very long while and i thought what had happened. i then found out that the jokers were undergoing counselling by the staffs, they almost wanted to pull out of the ride. in the end, they still played the ride, but their reaction is damn funny man. the moment they were pushed down, they kept scolding vulgaraties #$%^&*^! and after the ride, they shouted up to the staffs above, "yo thank you, shock man, really shock man". it was damn funny if you are there to see their reaction.

we went to play tsunami later, juz need to get a rift and relax in the pool. When the wave hit you, you can really get the 'tsunami' feeling. we then started a game among us, sort of royal rumble where we need to overturn everyone on their rift to be delcared the winner. gary is damn bast$#&! to try and eliminate me first. lucky i stood firm and then the big wave came to rescue me. in the end, everyone got overturned and there was no winner. our last game is at yakult professor's playground. haha this is a station meant for children, hey but since we are there, we should have fun and regain back our 'tong nian'. we then played catching, a old and fun-filled game since young. i can tell u its damn tiring to run in the water, but nevertheless it is a good workout.

at about 3.30pm, we then packed up and went to j8 for early dinner. we went to find marcus who was working and unable to join us for the fun. we waited for him to have dinner with us and in the meantime, we are in a debate what to eat. gary, as usual, want his pasta mania and he was supported by huairen and marcus. on the other hand, zhenghan, terence and i wanted to have ajisen. it was a tie and in the end, it is settled by scissor paper stone. haha in the end i managed to trumiph over gary and my craving was fulfilled. after dinner, huairen need to go off for wu-bai's concert, marucs went back to work and terence need to report to work. it was left with 3 of us, we actually wanted to watch wu-bai's concert but then... haiz dun wanna talk about it. so we went to have ice-cream at cafe cartel, it was yummpy man.

after that, we went to my house to wait for the england vs andorra match at midnight. alan told us that he will be joining us but in the end, he decided to let us have plane ride again. while we were waiting for the match, we watched a korean variety show "qing shu". its about match-making and the guys and gals inside the show are hunk and babes, how we wish we can take part in the show too. gradually, the afternoon fun began to take on our tolls, we fell asleep in my room (however no three-some) and we managed to wake up at about 11plus. zhenghan said he is hungry so we went to the 24hr coffeeshop near my house for supper and watch soccer there. we managed to get a good seat and ordered some food for sharing. i think gary muz have been starving himself while he was in england, cos he ordered lotsa food without my knowledge. in the end, we managed to finish up the food. for the match, it was expected that england will win but in my opinion, they seen to have improve after a change of coach. at about 2am, the match ended and we then called it day. i was damn tired and those 2 guys can sleep till their content while i gonna wake up in 4 hours time. but nevertheless, it was a damn fun-filled day with my buddies.
